Titanium eyewear in Singapore: how Lindberg works the material
Titanium is why a Lindberg feels the way it does in the hand. It is light for its strength, it resists corrosion, and it holds an adjustment once it has been set — which matters in a frame with no screws or rivets to take up the slack. Each element is cut from a thin titanium sheet and folded or formed rather than welded, so the frame keeps its line without bulk at the joints.
The spiral hinge is the clearest expression of that idea: a temple that turns on a coil of titanium instead of a screw. Nothing loosens, and there is no small metal part to replace.
